Implementation of industrial wastewater treatment technologies

BS Chemical is implementing the project “Implementation of industrial wastewater treatment technologies” (Project No. AAKKVP-AM-GPN02-0008). Under the funding agreement signed on 22 July 2025 with the Environmental Project Management Agency of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, the project has been allocated a targeted, non-refundable grant of EUR 225,000 from the national budget (Environmental Protection Support Programme). The total project value is EUR 369,496.

The project is being implemented in accordance with the funding conditions of the sub-measure “Implementation of industrial and surface wastewater treatment technologies” under Measure No. 02-01-06-07-01 “Improving the condition of water bodies” of the 2022–2030 development programme managed by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania for Environmental Protection and Climate Change Management.

Using the subsidy allocated by the programme, UAB BS Chemical will install industrial wastewater treatment equipment designed to reduce the amount of pollutants discharged into the environment: BOD7 – 0.26 t/year, total nitrogen – 0.10 t/year, total phosphorus – 0.12 t/year. The project contractor is UAB Filter. At the same time, a continuous environmental protection effect will be ensured, implementing the key requirements set out in environmental directives at all levels and other legal acts – taking all possible and economically justified measures to reduce pollutant emissions and their negative impact on public health and the environment, developing and applying sustainable technologies, conserving natural resources, and adopting modern, efficient resource management solutions while taking into account the long-term needs of natural ecosystems and business (human) activity.
