Symptoms of avian influenza: birds stop eating and drinking, experience difficulty breathing, the comb and wattles turn bluish, the head and neck swell, and bruising appears on the skin and mucous membranes. Avian influenza is transmitted indirectly through contact with secretions from infected birds, particularly faeces, as well as via contaminated feed, water, equipment, clothing, footwear, or other objects.
